Matt Wentink – Senior Sales Representative
Though a native San Antonian, Matt Wentink spent a majority of his life only 20 minutes away from Disneyland in Orange County, California. He graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in Business Management, and immediately after found himself back in Central Texas to be closer to his family. For a short two-week period, he created a sales and marketing department for a semi-conductor parts manufacturer in Austin. Once completed, he landed into the world of finance with IBC Bank and specialized in helping people retire, as well as assisted with generated foot traffic for the North Austin branches. When he isn’t in the office, he takes full advantage of the sunny Texas weather by exploring the great outdoors by going hiking and camping.
The Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County could be called a second home to Matt, as he has been volunteering there since he was 14 years old. It is the place of many summers sorting food, a recipient of food drive donations Matt collected in his neighborhood during Christmas, and even his first internship.
Coffee is what makes his world go ‘round. At all times he has at least four pounds of different types of coffee and will even drive out to a specialty store once a month to restock on his favorite saffron sugar. The best piece of advice Matt has ever been given, is to go out and buy the nicest suit you can afford. “A suit is just like a billboard or commercial; it highlights how you address business and treat your clients”
